Elevated Rapid Transit, Buses, and Trolley Coaches. Any GENERAL Railroad items, including models and toys, by

Lectures, Clinics & Book Signings
- From Prominent Transit Historians & Modelers -
** 10:30am ** Al Westerfield - will be presenting a talk on MODELING DUAL CONTRACTS EL STATIONS and DETAILS SURROUNDING THE STATION.
Al has done great work building his HO scale Pelham line structure, and he will share his tips and techniques with us!
** 11:30am ** Bob Robbins - will be giving a clinic on CAR BUILDING with styrene.
** 12:30pm ** Bob Olson - will present a clinic on building EL STRUCTURE using brass.
** 1:30pm ** James Greller - will be talking about his new books, "NEW YORK SUBWAY CARS R-1 to R-160" and "BROOKLYN TROLLEY CARS FROM THE
BRT TO THE B&QT". Both books will be available for sale that day and can be signed by the author.
Louis Guadagni - will be signing his new book, VOLUME ONE of the "ILLUSTRATED ENCYCLOPEDIA OF NEW YORK CITY SUBWAY
ROLLSIGNS AND ANCILLARY ITEMS" - this book will be released that day and available for purchase. ** Times are approximate and are subject to change. Announcements will be made during
the day.
Area Information -
The Gymnasium at Rutgers is easily accessible from
the New Brunswick train station that serves NJ Transit and Amtrak trains, as well as buses from NYC's Port Authority
Bus Terminal.
There is a free shuttle bus that runs on a regular schedule, to and from the student center - provided
by Campus Bus. Use routes L, F, or EE. The bus stop is on George St, at Somerset St, in front of "J&J Headquarters" -
at the east end of the New Brunswick station . When using the Campus
shuttle bus, please mention to the driver that you are attending this convention at the Rutgers Gymnasium
next to the Student Center on College Ave.
- Free parking is also available in the rear of the Gymnasium/Student Center -
There is a full food court and 2 ATMs located in the Student Center - next to the Gymnasium.
